Custom Signs & Signage in Pebble Beach, CA
For more than thirty years, Signworks has been the sign company Pebble Beach trusts to design, fabricate, and install the signage that defines one of the most recognizable destinations in the world. From the gate monuments that greet visitors entering Del Monte Forest, to the wayfinding pylons that guide guests along 17-Mile Drive, to the Wall of Champions plaques behind the first tee at Pebble Beach Golf Links — our work is woven into the fabric of the resort. We design every sign to be at home in the Pebble Beach landscape: clean lines, premium materials, no visible hardware, and built to withstand the salt air and weather of the Monterey Peninsula.
Our work spans every part of the Pebble Beach Resorts property and the broader Del Monte Forest community. From The Lodge at Pebble Beach to the Inn at Spanish Bay, from Spyglass Hill Golf Course to Cypress Point, from the Beach & Tennis Club to the Visitor Center, and at the major entry points along 17-Mile Drive — the Carmel Gate, the Pacific Grove Gate, and the Highway 1 entrance — Signworks has fabricated wayfinding, monument, identification, and event signage that lives alongside iconic landmarks like Stillwater Cove and the Lone Cypress.
A long partnership with Pebble Beach
Signworks worked with Pebble Beach Company throughout the 2010s to completely redesign the wayfinding system across the entire property. That project went far beyond fabrication. We helped choose where each sign should go, honed the messaging for clarity and efficiency, set strict limits on the number of words and destinations any single sign could carry, and built a full plan for moving visitors logically from one part of the resort to another — from the gates, to the Lodge and the Inn at Spanish Bay, to the Visitor Center, to the courses, to the dining and retail destinations along 17-Mile Drive.
Once the system was designed, we manufactured and installed every piece. The result is a unified, no-visible-hardware aesthetic: powdercoated aluminum post-and-panel signs with concealed mounting, gate monuments at every major entry, and pylons sized and finished to disappear into the forest rather than compete with it. Everything is engineered to withstand the coastal environment — UV, salt fog, wind, and decades of fluctuating moisture — without compromising the look.
The Visitor Center
When Pebble Beach Company built out the new Pebble Beach Visitor Center adjacent to The Lodge — an 8,000-square-foot interpretive space celebrating a century of resort history — Signworks played a large role in the signage program. We built every exterior illuminated sign on the building, and we have been the resort’s partner for the interior graphics and exhibit signage from opening day forward, updating displays, refreshing the historical narrative, and producing new pieces as the exhibits evolve. When you walk into the Visitor Center today, the signage you see has been designed, built, or maintained by our team.
The Wall of Champions
Behind the first tee at Pebble Beach Golf Links sits the Wall of Champions — the stone-etched commemoration of every winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, every Major Championship hosted at Pebble Beach, every California State Amateur title contested on the property, and the architects, founders, and figures who shaped the course. The Wall replaced the original Crosby Wall as part of Pebble Beach Golf Links’ 2019 centennial.
Signworks designed the plaques to the resort’s specifications, fabricated every piece, and installed the Wall — every finishing touch on a project where the execution had to be flawless. We continue to produce and install new plaques as champions are crowned each year. It’s the kind of project we love: a sign program where every piece needs to look at home next to the work we did the year before, and the year before that, on a property that has been hosting the best players in the world for over a century.
Concours d’Elegance and Monterey Car Week
When the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Monterey Car Week roll into the Peninsula each August, the world’s most prestigious automotive brands set up temporary “houses” along the fairways and around the resort — and Signworks builds the on-site signage for many of them. Our Car Week clients have included Casa Ferrari, The Maserati House, Aston Martin, McLaren, and other top automotive brands. The work moves fast: brand-accurate environmental signage, custom monument and entrance pieces, interior graphics, banners, and all the wayfinding that turns a fairway into a hospitality experience for one week of the year.
Residential and special-event work in Del Monte Forest
Beyond the institutional work, Signworks produces signage for homeowners across Del Monte Forest — house signs, address markers, gate hardware, and custom architectural pieces designed to meet the design review standards that make Pebble Beach what it is. We also handle the special-event signage for golf tournaments, charity events, weddings, and corporate gatherings hosted at the Lodge, the Inn at Spanish Bay, and the private clubs throughout the area.

Frequently asked questions
Does Signworks understand the Pebble Beach design review and architectural standards?
Yes. We’ve been producing signs for Pebble Beach properties — institutional, residential, and event — for over thirty years. Every sign we build for the Forest is designed with the resort’s aesthetic standards and the Del Monte Forest design review process in mind.
Can you handle illuminated signs at Pebble Beach?
Yes. We built every exterior illuminated sign on the Visitor Center, and we regularly produce illuminated channel letters, halo-lit dimensional letters, and back-lit monument pieces for properties throughout the Peninsula.
Do you maintain signs after installation, or just build new ones?
Both. We maintain and update signage at the Visitor Center, refresh the Wall of Champions plaques each year, and provide ongoing service for the wayfinding system across the resort. Long partnerships are how the work stays cohesive.
Do you work with car brands during Monterey Car Week?
Yes. We’ve built event signage for Casa Ferrari, The Maserati House, Aston Martin, McLaren, and other top automotive brands during Car Week. We understand the timeline pressure and the brand precision the manufacturers expect.
